Terms of Use
This is the End User License Agreement (EULA) between you and Folveo. By downloading, installing or using the Folveo application (the "Software"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Software.
1. Definitions
"Folveo", "we", "us" means the provider of the Software. "You" means the individual or organization using the Software. "Software" means the Folveo desktop application for macOS, Windows and Linux and any updates. "Pro" means the paid plan that unlocks advanced features. "AI Assistant" means the third-party AI tools running on your machine that Folveo connects to.
2. License grant
Folveo grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for personal or internal business purposes, subject to these terms. The Software is licensed, not sold, to you.
3. Free & Pro
The Free version includes all slide-making features; exported files carry a Folveo watermark. Upgrading to Pro: (1) removes the watermark on exports, and (2) enables exporting an editable PowerPoint file.
When you upgrade to Pro, you receive every future Pro feature released under the plan you purchased at no extra charge for those features. Some features are described as "in development" and are not available at the time of purchase; we make no commitment to specific release dates.
4. Payment & renewal
Payments are processed by Polar, acting as Merchant of Record and handling invoicing, taxes and payment data. Folveo does not store your card details.
- Pro Monthly ($3.99/mo) and Pro Annual ($39/yr) are subscriptions that auto-renew at the end of each cycle until you cancel.
- Founder Lifetime ($129) is a one-time payment for lifetime use, limited to the first 75 seats.
- You may cancel renewal anytime via the Polar customer portal; Pro access continues until the end of the paid cycle.
- Subscriptions may include a free trial (7–14 days); if you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first cycle.
5. Refunds
Because a fully featured Free version is available to try first, Pro payments are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law. If a technical defect prevents you from using the Software, contact us within 14 days of payment and we will review support or a refund on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are processed through Polar.
6. License keys
After purchasing Pro, you receive a license key for activation. Each key activates on a single device (activation limit = 1). You may not share, resell, or publish license keys. We may revoke keys in cases of fraud, chargeback, or breach of these terms.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Software; (b) remove or circumvent the watermark, licensing or technical protection mechanisms; (c) rent, lease, resell or redistribute the Software without permission; (d) use the Software for unlawful purposes or to create unlawful content.
8. Intellectual property
Folveo and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Software, including source code, design, the "Folveo" brand and logo. These terms transfer no ownership rights to you other than the license described above.
9. Your content & AI
The slides and content you create are yours and stored on your machine. You are responsible for the content you create. Folveo connects to third-party AI Assistants running on your machine or under your own subscription; your use of those assistants is also subject to their providers' terms. AI-generated output may be inaccurate; you should review it before use.
10. Disclaimer of warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free or operate uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Folveo is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential damages, or loss of data or profits arising from your use of the Software. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid Folveo in the most recent 12 months.
12. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall the Software. The intellectual property, warranty disclaimer and liability provisions survive termination.
13. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Software after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Vietnam, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
